Super Greens Juice Recipe

Super Greens Juice Recipe

Unless you are munching on salad or kale chips (yum) all day long, it’s hard to get the recommended amount of leafy greens every single day. So my idea for this recipe was to pack as many of them as possible into one glass, then add just a little sweetness (for those days when you want a more savory juice).

What I love about this recipe is that it takes only a few minutes to whip up. Leafy greens are usually pre washed so the prep time takes seconds. And to speed things up, I love to blend in frozen pineapple for some icy tropical deliciousness. You can also use fresh pineapple and simply juice the lot.

Here’s some of the healthy info:

This recipe is loaded with Vitamin C, Vitamin K, B Vitamins, Folate, Calcium, Iron, Magnesium, Potassium and Zinc. You’ll get a bit of everything your body needs in this Green Juice, including Powerful Antioxidants especially Beta Carotene, Quercetin, Flavanols and Polyphenols.

Plus these leafy greens just happen to be the most Nutrient Dense foods on the planet. Thank you Kale and Spinach.

To make this recipe, you will need:

  • handful of parsley
  • large handful of kale
  • handful of spinach
  • 1 gala apple
  • 1/2 cucumber
  • large handful of frozen pineapple – you can also use 1/4 fresh pineapple (peeled)

Here’s how to make it:

  • Wash the ingredients.
  • Juice the parsley, kale, spinach, cucumber and apple. If you are using a Fast (Centrifugal) Juicer, make sure to pack the parsley, kale and spinach tightly behind the apple for max juice extraction.

  • Then transfer the juice to your blender along with the pineapple and blend for 10 seconds. Pour over ice then enjoy!

If you are using a Slow (Masticating Cold Press) Juicer you can ignore this step. They’re great at juicing Leafy Greens.
