Super Simple Carrot Juice

Simple, but oh so delicious. You won’t believe how quick and easy this Carrot Juice is to whip up and you’ve probably got all of the ingredients in your fridge.

This recipe may be simple, but it’s packed with Nutrition, great for the Budget (at under $2), and a perfect recipe if you are a Beginner to Juicing (with only 3 ingredients). I like to double, or even triple the recipe to share or freeze for later.

Here’s what’s inside:

Carrots

Carrots are high in Nutrients (scoring 458 on the Aggregate Nutrient Density Index), high in Soluble Fiber and low in Calories. They are made up of 85% water, Low Glycemic and a good source of Vitamin B6.

Carrots get their bright orange color from Beta Carotene (a Carotenoid) which is a Powerful Antioxidant. Studies have shown Carrots Boost the Immune System and are Anti Cancer.

Super Simple Carrot Juice

Apple

Apples contain the soluble fiber Pectin. Pectin is a Prebiotic that feeds the friendly gut bacteria, and binds to toxins in the digestive tract helping to remove them from the body.

They also contain Quercetin which is an Antioxidant. Antioxidants protect the cells against Free Radicals and Oxidative Stress.

Cucumber

Cucumbers are 95% water and contain Electrolytes making them an Excellent Hydration Booster.

They contain Antioxidants, and important Nutrients that have been used Traditionally for treating Headaches and Acne.

They contain a molecule called Cucurbitacins which studies have shown are Anti Inflammatory, Anticancer and Anti Diabetic.

For this Recipe you will need:

  • 3 large carrots
  • 1 apple
  • 1/2 cucumber
  • handful of ice

Yields 1 serving

Here’s how to make it:

  1. Wash the produce.
  2. Juice all of the ingredients.
  3. Pour over ice then enjoy.

Total Time: 2 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cucumber
  • 1 gala apple
  • 3 large carrots
  • handful of ice

Instructions

    1. Wash the produce.
    2. Juice all of the ingredients. If you are using a Fast (Centrifugal) Juicer, make sure to pack the cucumber tightly behind the apple for max juice extraction.
    3. Pour over ice then enjoy!
