Max Veggie Antioxidant Booster

What are Antioxidants and why do we need to include them in our diet?

Antioxidants are molecules found mostly in Fruits and Vegetables that help to protect the cells against Free Radicals. When Free Radicals build up in the cells, it causes Oxidative Stress. This leads to an increased risk of disease like Cancer, Heart Attack, Stroke and other Chronic and Degenerative Conditions.

I’ve combined all of my favorite Antioxidant Packed fruits and veggies into this Recipe. Here’s what’s inside:

Blueberries

According to FRAP analysis, Blueberries have the highest amount of Antioxidants of any fruit or vegetable. They contain Flavonoids and Quercetin which are Powerful Antioxidants.

Beets

Beets are rich in Betalains which are Antioxidant. Studies have shown that Red Beets provide protection against Oxidative Stress. (You can learn more Here).

Apples

Studies have shown that Apples are Strong Antioxidants and a rich source of Phytochemicals including Quercetin.

Celery

1 stalk of celery contains over 12 different types of Antioxidants including Vitamin C, Beta Carotene and Flavonoids.

Lemon

Lemons are high in Vitamin C and Flavonoids which are Antioxidant, Anti Inflammatory, Anti Viral and Anti Cancer.

Carrots

Carrots are the Beta Carotene king! 2 Carrots will give you over 100% of the RDA of Beta Carotene. Beta Carotene is a Carotenoid which is Antioxidant.
