Natural Cold and Flu Remedy

This Natural Cold and Flu Remedy is Strong and Powerful and meant to be downed in one shot! For this recipe, I used ingredients which have Proven Beneficial Effects for Cold and Flu Symptoms.

Ginger

Ginger contains Powerful Medicinal Compounds called Gingerols. This Study shows that Gingerols are Anticancer, Antioxidant, Antihistamine, Anti Inflammatory and Anti Allergy.

Gingerols are also Antimicrobial. One Study showed the antibacterial effects against 3 different types of bacteria. The Gingerols protected against, and killed the growth of oral bacteria.

Garlic

Garlic is Antibacterial, Antifungal and Antimicrobial. This Study shows Garlic is useful for the Prevention of Colds.

Lemons

Studies have shown that Lemons and Citrus Juices shorten the duration and reduce the severity of Cold and Flu Symptoms.

Apples

Apples are rich in Polyphenols and contain Quercetin which is a Natural Antihistamine.

Here’s how to make this Natural Cold and Flu Remedy:

For this recipe you will need:

1 lemon
2 apples
3 cm ginger
1 clove of garlic
Makes 4/5 shots (depending on the size of your produce)

To make it:

Wash the produce. Peel the lemon (make sure to leave as much of the white pith on as possible).

Juice the ingredients. If you are using a Fast (Centrifugal) Juicer, pack the lemon, garlic and ginger tightly between the apples to ensure maximum juice extraction. I like to push the ginger and garlic into the lemon so it doesn’t fall down the chute.

You can make your Cold and Flu Remedy Shots in advance and freeze them. The last thing you want to be doing when you are sick is spend extra time in the kitchen juicing and cleaning up.
